Nashōnen

Each tapestry is produced using a jacquard weaving process, where the artwork is translated directly into the fabric rather than printed on top of it. Individual threads of polyester and cotton are interlaced on a loom to build the image pixel by pixel, creating depth, texture, and subtle colour variation that you can feel as well as see. This method gives the tapestries a heavier, more durable finish, with natural tonal shifts and a slightly vintage character that complements manga-style artwork. Finished with woven edges and fringe, the result is a textile piece that sits between wall art and functional fabric, designed to age gracefully over time rather than fade or peel like a standard print.
